Microsoft Exchange Server Enterprise 2016
For every small to medium business out there looking for email solutions, Microsoft Exchange 2016 might be the best option for you. It provides a secure email solution for the enterprises that are already running on the Windows Servers. The new Exchange Server 2016 comes in two editions, Standard and Enterprise.
Standard edition supports up to 5 mountable databases per server. A mounted database is the one that’s in use. Even if you can create databases more than the limit, you can only mount the maximum number of databases you’re allowed to. If you have a Standard server in Database Availability Group (DAG) and have one active mailbox, then you only have the option to mount 3 other databases onto the server.
A client accessing Exchange Standard also requires licensing, more technically known as CAL (Client Access License). With Standard CAL you allow your employees to access features like email, calendar, and Outlook on the web.
